Water in Minecraft often feels lifeless. It flows in a very blocky manner, does not splash, no real particle effects, nothing! The Wakes Reforged mod is here to make interacting with water a lot more detailed.

With this mod installed, when a player, mob or entity touches the water surface, it produces beautiful patterns, called "wakes". The wakes are generated along with a few splash effects and the combined effect makes interacting with water a lot more fun. All of the patterns generated fit the vanilla game very well.

This makes the action performed by the player look a lot more intense and detailed.

Actions like swimming in an arc shape, or drifting with your boat can give rise to curved wakes that follow your path. This makes the action performed by the player look a lot more intense and detailed.

It should be noted that the wakes does not appear with wavy or realistic water effects added by shaders. All of the screenshots shown in this articles were captured with no shaders enabled.
